Take this Valdelagunde Cuvee Especial Verdejo. The grape vines for this wine are at least 40 years old, which means there is a lot of terroir in the wine. The complete harvest is done manually and only at night. The coolness of the night keeps the quality of the grapes at its best. The pressing is done very carefully so that only the best juice is used for this Finca Valdelagunde.

What is special about this Verdejo is that part of the wine matures in new French and American oak barrels. This makes this white full and creamy. When pouring this Cuvee Especial, the beautiful golden yellow color with the "creamy tears" in the glass is immediately noticeable. A very rich color for Verdejo! The aroma of this white wine is intense and complex with lots of fruit, impressions of anise and vanilla. By maturing the Valdelagunde Cuvee Especial in French and American oak, this wine gets its special character.
