About the winery :

North of the village of Soave is the winery Ca'Rugate. Ca' Rugate gets its name from Rugate Hill. Most of Ca' Rugate's vineyards are located on this dark, volcanic soil of this hill. The Tessari family, now the fourth generation, makes wines based on history and tradition. Wines with precision and the character of the volcanic soil. In addition to the high-quality range of Soaves of international fame, Ca' Rugate also makes very stylish and refined Valpolicella wines, culminating in the Amarone Punta 470.

Vineyard and region:

The best grapes from the hilly area of ​​Montecchia di Crosara are used for this wine. The soil consists of limestone and gravel.

Vinification:

Made according to the traditional preparation of Amarone della Valpolicella. The grapes dry for 4-5 months in wooden boxes in well-ventilated areas. When pressed, the must is concentrated, more colored and sweeter. The fermentation starts with natural yeasts, in 500 liter oak barrels. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 25-30 months in oak barrels.

Color: Intense garnet red.
Smell: Concentrated. Ripe blueberries, blackberries and cherries.
Taste: Spicy oak. Rich, full body. Complex. Beautiful balance. Long finish.
