During Prohibition Templeton Rye was illegally distilled in Templeton, a small town in Iowa, the nickname of this whiskey was The Good Stuff.
The quality was so high that The Good Stuff was soon served in speakeasies in every corner of the US. By the way, it was the infamous Al Capone's favorite Rye.
After the prohibition, Templeton almost completely disappeared into thin air, but since 2018 the brand new Templeton Rye Distillery is officially open and accessible to the public with a state of the art visitor center, producing a rye based on The Good's original recipe Stuff with no less than 95% rye.
It is one of the largest family businesses in the US, the Forsyths pot stills and column stills are running at full speed to deliver a very high-quality distillate. With a production capacity of 2.4 million bottles, a warehouse that can accommodate 50,000 barrels and its own bottling line, this is a distillery that will make itself heard!
